This application acquires the time waveform and calculates the naroowband frequency spectrum (FFT) of 1 to 4 microphones in real-time. It displays the time waveforms on one graph, and frequency plots on the other graph. You can pause the acquisition, change settings, re-start, then export the most recent block of time data and the FFT data to Microsoft Excel or an ASCII text file. There are capabilities of both frequency weighting ("A Weighting", "C Weighting" and none), time weighting modes (Linear, exponential, peak, etc.) and a variety of time window filters for the advanced user (hanning, hamming, etc.) Please click on the "technical specs" tab for more details
The software is compatible with any sound card recognized by Microsoft Windows or
National Instruments data acquisition devices:
The leading provider of PC-based data acquisition devices for PCI (plug into the desktop), USB, etc. You can use a recommended hardware bundle from us or you can use your own National Instruments hardware from the approved list on our
ReadME file. The microphone options we recommend will work with any of the hardware bundles in the
ReadME file. If you're using a conventional sound card (even like the one pre-installed with your PC), then a commercially available microphone with a mini-stereo plug-in jack for your computer would work fine.

The analysis and report generation is up to you. The sole purpose of the software is to make it very easy to get from your seismic accelerometer to Microsoft Excel. The power to graph, present, and analyze is in your hands: We do not try to pigeon hole you into some proprietary format with limited reporting flexibility.
We strive to make the installation and setup very simple - please e-mail us at
support@justmeasure.net if you have any questions and we pledge to have a real person respond ASAP!
